CALLED TO AN ENDLESS JOY

'Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace...' - 2 Thessalonians 2 vs 16

Hello Dearly Beloved in the LORD Jesus Christ. Be Refreshed and filled with the Joy of the LORD in reading this piece.

Our opening scripture is one of those awesome scriptures which when played in your mind, it fills you with all the fullness and joy of the LORD. You know, there are certain scriptures that when their reality dawns in our mind, and when we come to acknowledge them as Truths which they actually are, we cannot help but be filled with joy. This is one of them. It says that GOD has given us everlasting consolation. Do you know what he's talking about?

What's the meaning of consolation? It's simple, it means to comfort especially in times of grief or disappointment. Now, if GOD gave us everlasting consolation, that tells us that we were in some grief, as there can be no consolation if there was never a grief. - Selah. What grief were we consoled of? The grief or the fear/terror that we sinners (who aren't perfect), are gonna be judged according to our living, whether good or bad. Now come to think about this, how horrible the fear and burden will be in the heart of one who having known that he can never meet GOD's standard of Righteousness, yet is gonna be judged by how we lives. Think about it. This was our predicament, all of us! Whether one accepts it or not, it doesn't change it from the Truth. The Law made it so, because God's judgement was based on the Law, and man could not live perfectly according to the Law because of the weakness of his flesh {Romans 7 vs 15 and 18}, that therefore meant that man was down for Hell. What torment that is in the mind, even though alive, yet no hope. - Selah

But thanks be unto GOD for the LORD Jesus Christ, who through HIS sacrifice on the Cross, we were declared Righteous by HE who gave the Laws, and that's GOD the Father. And you know what, HE didn't give us a conditional Righteousness, that is to say, you are good when you do right, and you are condemned when you do wrong, no! It was unconditional, it was HIS own thing, HIS own idea, I wasn't even born when HE made decisions on that, it is all HIS work, HE said, I, you are Perfect forever! Hallelujah... {Hebrews 10 vs 14}. Waow!

My Brother, My Sister, this is Consolation indeed, and Everlasting Consolation HE gave. Not to expire when you sin, no, but when you sin, instead of condemnation, the Holy Ghost convicts (Reminds) you of Righteousness, HIS Righteousness which HE gave you for everlasting, and you are lifted up, filled with Love and Joy to Live again. Hallelujah!

God Bless You.
