A LESSON FROM THE PRODIGAL SON'S BROTHER

'And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.' - Luke 15 vs 31

Hello Dearly Beloved, chosen in Christ, and the Righteousness of GOD in HIM, greetings to you from our FATHER. AMEN. We will be looking at the event that transpired about the prodigal son, taking special emphasis on his elder brother, and then learn some lessons. So let's go now.

The above given scripture was the response of their Father to his elder son (prodigal son's brother). But, let's see what led to that starting from the verse 25;

 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. - {KING JAMES VERSION}

Now the prodigal son was back to the house, you can read the whole story from the verse 11. And his Father received him insomuch that he threw a feast for him, and from the verse 25, we see that his elder brother came to the house from the field where he served his Father, and he heard the music and dancing, and he asked a servant what it should mean, and it was all made plain to him. Now to make it brief, let's examine the situation from the verse 29 to the 31st verse;

He expressed his sorrow to his Father saying that all the years he had served HIM diligently, and yet HE never gave him a kid (an animal) that he may feast with his friends; further expressing his anguish that his brother came, having devoured all his living with harlots, and yet he had killed for him even the best animal, and here was what the Father said to him, and that's where our lesson is;

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

Did you catch it? HE said to him, son you are forever with me, and all that I have is yours. In other words, the Father was saying, you need not expect me to give you anything because it all belongs to you. Waow! The son was expecting his Father to give to him, whereas in the mind of the Father, he owns everything he had. Little did the elder son know that he had more possessions than his younger brother who happens to be the prodigal son, because the younger brother was only given a feast and probably some victuals to hold, but the entire wealth belonged to his Elder Brother. Oooo, ignorance has robbed this gentle man! - Selah

Child of GOD, it's GOD'S desire that you know that all things belongs to you. See something;

'Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours...' - 1 Corinthians 3 vs 21 {KJV}

You see that? GOD has already declared that all things are yours! - Selah. I remember the Holy Spirit asking me, 'How could you be asking for this, don't you know that it is yours already? How could you be asking for what you own? C'mmon, don't live a beggarly life.' I'm serious, these were the words of the Spirit which came unto me at a certain time, that's when I began to catch the knowledge of all I am sharing with you right now. JESUS said, 'Ask and you shall receive...', but I tell you, that's only a level, there's a higher level and only the knowledge of entire ownership can bring you there. This is the knowledge of entire ownership which I share with you, just like the Prodigal son's brother who had all things (though he didn't know, of which if he had known, he wouldn't have counted it as anything that a feast was thrown for his brother, and he would have feasted with any calf at anytime he willed), we have all things because GOD has said it, '...all things are yours.' - Selah

Therefore Beloved, having known this, be it therefore known unto you this day that whatsoever your desires or wants are, they are yours already. If it's true that they are yours, demand for them! Let your requests to GOD not be as of asking for something you need, but as of demanding for a supply of the thing(s) HE has already made yours. You own it, therefore as for a supply of it. - Selah

Place a demand today on whatsoever you desire, it's yours and GOD is not holding it from you, why should HE when HE has already given it all to you? Just place a demand on whatever it is you desire in the Name of JESUS with the attitude of ownership. There's a difference when you're asking a friend to give you your property in his possession, and asking him to give you something you don't own; the confidence upon your request are different for both scenarios. - Selah

GOD Bless You.
