'O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.' - Psalms 34 vs 8
My
Dear, this is an encouragement to you, yet this is more than an
encouragement, this is more that a comfort to the comfortless, but this
is the heart of God concerning His kids. Taste and See.
Our
opening scripture presents an interesting line to us, it says, 'Taste
and See'. Now, notice that it started with a 'O', which speaks of
excitement. Meaning, David was excited in his spirit when he uttered
this word. He was like ooo taste and see. Remember, David was a man of
tears because of his divers failings. At a point, David cried out to God
to deliver him from guilt, he was in pains of guilt, and he cried out
to God from the depths of his heart to save him from guilt and show him
Joy again
{Psalm 51 vs 14}. But here comes David crying out in Joy. What did he say?
Taste and See!
My
Dear, how bad has your case gone? Have you come to the point in your
life when your wrongs have inflicted so much guilt, sorrow and regrets
in your heart, and it seems like you will never get out of that state?
My Dear, you've not tasted! That's why!
God wants you to taste of His love, God wants you to taste of His mercy. Jesus died for your past, present, and future sins
{Hebrews 10 vs 10}.
Now get this, when you came to Jesus, that day when you were saved, you
felt forgiven, you felt saved, you felt anew, you felt freed from
guilt, sorrow was far from you, you felt Joy. Why? Because the Blood of
Jesus was effective. God wants you to know that that same Blood that was
effective to save you from the guilt of past sin is still as much
effective to save you from the guilt of present sin. God wants you to
understand that the same peace you felt on that first day of your
salvation can still be felt even right now. The reason you were at peace
on that day of your salvation is because you were purged of sin, sin
was totally evacuated from your system, hence you were at Peace in your
heart. That's the same thing that happens when we sin in Christ, we are
purged of that sin by the same precious Blood that first purged us, and
this purging happens when we realize that we have been purged already of
that sin right on the Cross of Calvary. O I love this. All God requires
of us is to Taste.
How do I taste?
Taste by acknowledgement!
So when I say all GOD requires of us is to taste, I am saying GOD wants
us to acknowledge, GOD wants you to acknowledge the Fact that Jesus
paid for all our sin, whether past or present or future. God wants us to
have faith that He has purged (evacuated) us of all sin which make us
guilty of nothing. - Selah
My Dear hear this and hear clear, after you prayed according to
1 John 1 vs 9,
the acknowledging of the fact that you have been cleansed and purged of
all your wrongs will dissolve your guilt and revive your Joy. I have
tasted, and I have seen that the Lord is good, and His mercies endureth
forever. This is a true saying, Believe it.
'Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.' - Isaiah 1 vs 18 {KJV}
All
that is needed is REASON! Reason with God by praying and seeking His
mercy. One time, He will show you mercy because the blood of Jesus is
still speaking for our sins!
My Dear taste and see! Taste of the Lord's goodness. One thing I have always told myself and will always say to myself is this,
'If
I had never gone through certain things I've been through in my life, I
would never have known how sweet and precious the blood of Jesus is
that saved me is.' But now, I know that the mercies of the LORD
are real, and are so sweet and precious because it has been made evident
in my life, and I now live in the Peace and the Joy of the LORD
unspeakable, lo, I'm full of Glory...Hallelujah! Praise God Forever.
This will be your testimony! Just taste.
GOD Bless You.
