PSALMS 116 VS 15 - EXPLAINED

'Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.' - Psalms 116 vs 15

This does not imply that the Lord is glad when the saints die. Never! Some think that the Lord is glad when a Christian dies, to gladly receive him/her home. But this is what the WORD actually said;

'Precious (important and no light matter) in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (His loving ones).' - {AMP}

You see, our opening scripture means that the Lord does not take lightly or as a light matter the death of His saints. In other words, the lives and living of the saints on earth is an important matter to the Lord. The Lord wants us to live and live long in the earth, and this agrees with the scriptures;

'With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.' - Psalms 91 vs 16 {KJV}

It is God's desire that His people live long in the earth. A life cut short is the work of satan the devil;

'The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.' - John 10 vs 10 {KJV}

satan comes to kill, but God loves longevity of life in the earth for His children. God is good. - Selah

So it's inappropriate to use this scripture (our opening Bible passage) to express condolence to those whose relations departed from the earth; meaning that their death is precious to the Lord - that the Lord is glad about their death? Never! That was never what the Psalmist said. - Selah

You can read these words again, and gain understanding.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
