'For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 21 {KJV}
- that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him
'For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)' - Romans 5 vs 17 {KJV}
- they which receive the gift of righteousness
Our above Bible passages speak of the same truth; the Believer is righteous!
Dearly beloved, now that you are born again, it is very important that you know the details of that new birth; it is of utmost importance that you know the nature of your new birth in Christ; because if you don't know who you are, you cannot know how you ought to live in this world; if you don't know who you are, you will live just anyhow, in any way! The Believer in Christ is not to live anyhow, but rather, he is to live in accordance to his nature in Christ. So in this teaching, I am continuing to show you who you are in Christ; and right now, we are taking a look at the two Bible passages above - they show us that in Christ we have been made righteous. That means that the Believer is righteous! Beloved, you have to believe it! Don't consider your human nature, neither your human errors or weaknesses, rather consider the Truth, stick to the Truth, accept what the Gospel says you are - that is what it means to live by faith. Remember:
'...For we walk by faith, not by sight...' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 {KJV}
To walk by faith is to acknowledge the Gospel in the place of your natural opinion or ideologies. That's why it says "not by sight"! Where the Gospel has spoken, we don't regard the opinions of the senses; where the Gospel has spoken, we don't regard the knowledge of the senses. - Selah. You may not see yourself to be a righteous person - that is sensual knowledge; but because you are in Christ Jesus, the Gospel has said that you are Righteous. Faith will be you acknowledging the Gospel's description of you as truth instead of what you think or feel of yourself. - Think about this
Beloved, the moment you believe you are righteous because the Gospel says so, that believing gives you a mentality; you now have a mindset that you are righteous and not a sinner (irrespective of obvious weaknesses and errors in your life, still stick to what the Gospel says about you). The moment you think of yourself that you are righteous in agreement to what the Gospel has said about you (which I have shown you above), that's where your transformation starts! - Selah
As you go to your place of work, you go with the mindset that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; you say of yourself, "I am righteous, I don't steal, I don't cheat people, I am not wicked, I am good, I am a blessing to men's lives, I am an advantage to my office". You think of yourself exactly how the Gospel thinks of you, righteous! You will definitely see your life transformed, your character aligned with God's dream from before the beginning of creation:
'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.' - Ephesians 2 vs 10 {KJV}
- good works which God hath before ordained
Before God created man, God designed that man should walk in goodness; and believing the Gospel aligns the Believer to walk in that goodness. - Selah
Beloved, you are righteous - that is who you are! Walk in it! Now you know who you are, therefore you know exactly how you ought to live and behave in this dark world.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
